Kickstarter Video - Bar Forty Two, Worthing

This quick turnaround, short video for Kickstarter was filmed and edited in less than a day.

Client: Bar 42, Worthing
Role: Storyboarding / Filming / Editing / Creative Direction
We created this Kickstarter video with Mark Knowles, owner of Worthing venue Bar Forty Two. It was made to help the bar to reach it’s funding goal.

The venue faced noise complaints, like those that had plagued venues like The Blind Tiger in Brighton and The Astoria in London. So to prevent closure, this key Sussex live music bar required funding to help them with sound-proofing.

The audience for this Kickstarter video was not only Forty Two’s existing patrons, but supporters of local music throughout the UK and beyond. The message needed to be succinct and emphasise the urgency of their cause.

We were commissioned to create a video part-way through the campaign, so time was an important factor. This meant that we filmed and edited the Kickstarter video in less than a day.

Mark had this to say about the service we provided: “Thanks for the video you did for us at Forty Two to help with our Kickstarter campaign. As soon as the video went up the views of the video went through the roof and I had loads of positive feedback on how good it was. It boosted donations which helped us make the target. Considering it was a rush job squeezed in between other projects it was great quality too. I would heartily recommend your services.”

A Kickstarter video makes your project 85% more likely to succeed, but they do require a quick turnaround.
